<a href="http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000787032016/">The ups and downs of the BenQ P50: now they add Skype</a> <img align="right" alt="P50 engadget.com" border="1" height="200" hspace="4" src="http://www.weblogsinc.com/common/images/1757644776576398.jpg?0.9408986874044808" vspace="16" width="107" /> <p>Despite the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000580026370/">bad rap</a> it’s been garnering around here at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/common/images/4697251059426705.jpg">Engadget HQ</a>, in the interest of remaining fair and balanced on the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=benq+p50&submit=Go">BenQ P50</a> (look, we’re really trying—we want to like it as much as you do) we do have to admit our little $800 friend is certainly starting to pull itself out of the mire. First we hear it’s going to support the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000580030687/">Cingular/AT&T Wireless/T-Mobile-backed UMA standard</a> out-of-box, and now we’ve been informed they’re planning on putting that <a href="http://www.engadget.com/entry/6944164538551586/">integrated WiFi</a> to good use: BenQ’s launching the P50 pre-loaded with <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=skype&submit=Go">Skype</a>. We know, we know, it’s free software, but if BenQ even thinks its going to get away with what they’ve <a href="http://www.engadget.com/entry/4474704360313459/">been doing with the P50</a>, they’re going to have to keep piling up value-adds like nobody’s business. Reuters wrote something up about how Motorola’s just-about-to-be-announced <a href="http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000477031629/">E1060</a> handset was the long-awaited <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?sourceid=Mozilla-search&q=motorola+itunes">iTunes phone</a>, but when Motorola actually unveiled the new phone they didn’t say a word about it running iTunes. Now it’s been confirmed that the E1060 is <em>not</em> the iTunes phone (or at least not one of the iTunes phones, there’s supposedly going to be more than one of them), something which will probably come as a relief to a lot of people, it didn’t sound like many of you were feeling the E1060.<br /> <br />[Thanks, Oliver]</p> <div align="right">[via <a href="http://www.engadget.com/">Engadget</a>]</div>
